By accessing or using IslandCompanions.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. Companions must be legally eligible to work in their respective jurisdictions.
To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
When you book an Experience, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable platform fees. All payments are processed securely through our payment processor. Funds are held in escrow and released to the Companion only after you confirm the Experience was delivered. Cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy.
Companions are independent contractors, not employees of IslandCompanions. Companions agree to deliver Experiences as described, communicate professionally, and comply with all local laws. Companions must not solicit off-platform payments or engage in illegal activities.
Travelers agree to treat Companions with respect, arrive on time, and communicate any changes promptly. Travelers must not request illegal services or engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior.
Users may leave reviews after completed bookings. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and free from defamation, hate speech, or personal attacks. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines.
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of IslandCompanions or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
IslandCompanions is a marketplace connecting Travelers with independent Companions. We do not own, operate, or control the Experiences offered. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IslandCompanions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, illegal activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
